Masjidi / Akbari Gate

The only surviving gate of the Lahore Fort from Akbar’s period. During the Mughal period, the gate was used as a royal entrance from the city to Diwan-e-Am courtyard. Elevated from the ground level and wide enough for an elephant to cross, it is located on the eastern side of the fort which also connects the Fort to the nearby Maryam Zamani Mosque.
